Founded in 1998 by Dr. Collins, ALCD is a 501c3, non-profit community program that serves children from the ages 3 weeks to 12 years of age.  We assist parents by providing services based on their ability to pay, and provide free childcare services for homeless families, children from battered homes, and for Veterans while seeking employment.

With a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education, Dr. Collins, along with her staff, has developed an original curriculum which provides a sound educational foundation supported through concrete experiences.  ALCD is designed for families who won’t settle for anything less than the very best for their children’s education.

Our Center promotes excellence in education and strives to develop morals and character skills. The diversity of our curriculum helps our children understand various cultures, allowing them to have multicultural experiences at an early age. We continue to bring new ideas into the curriculum to get their minds learning, thus instilling the concept “Today’s Learner Tomorrows Leaders!”

We serve our children and families by continually improving the quality of our educational services and performing in a manner warranting the highest degree of public confidence with integrity and efficiency.

As an active, supportive member of our community, we pride ourselves on hosting safe, uplifting, family-friendly events which are open to the public and continue to find new ways to serve those who are in need in in the community.
